Data Capture

Civil Designer uses a spreadsheet type system to gather data from the user. It is primarily used in cases where there is likely to be a lot of information to be entered, or in cases where data entry is required within the context of, and with reference to, existing data. For example, adding an extra curve to a horizontal alignment.

Each row of the spreadsheet represents a particular data item, while each column represents a particular element within that data item.

The following functions are all spreadsheet dependent:

Survey

• Tache Reduction

• Tache Sections

• Traverse

• Levelling

• Error Figure

• Control Network

Roads

• Horizontal Alignment

• Vertical Alignment

• Edge Levels

• Pipe Alignment

After selecting any one of the above options, a spreadsheet opens with a title that indicates the currently used option.
