Select Points

Select DTM points individually, or by enclosing them in a rectangle.

This function allows you to select DTM points as follows:

• Individually

• In a rectangle

• In a polygon

• Using the Filter

Once points have been selected, you can apply various functions to the selection set.

Procedure

1. The Selection Options display.

2. Select which method you want to use to select points.

Individually

You are prompted to indicate individual points.

By Rectangle

1. You are prompted to define a bounding rectangle:

Indicate first corner

2. You are prompted to:

Indicate second corner

Indicate the opposite corner of the bounding rectangle.

3. All the points enclosed by the rectangle are selected.

By Polygon

1. You are prompted to indicate the vertices of a bounding polygon:

Polygon: Indicate next point (right-click to finish)

Indicate the first point of the polygon.

2. You are prompted to indicate additional vertices:

Polygon: Indicate next point (right-click to finish)

Indicate as many vertices as required.

3.  Right-click to display the following popup menu.

4. Select Close to close the polygon boundary. All the points enclosed by the polygon are selected.
