This page defines text that is to be plotted on each section. The text values are extracted from the cross-section data of the various layers (the lines), as specified in the Cross-Section Setup.
Option
|
Description |
Text |
Enter the annotation text to be plotted on the particular section. There are some predefined variables that can be entered here. Right-click the cell to select a variable from a popup menu. An explanation of the available variables is shown below. |
Line |
Enter the line number on which the annotations should be based. The line number corresponds to the line numbers in the Cross-Section Setup. An entry of 0 as a line number, which is not used in the cross-sections, will set the relevant elevation to the datum elevation. Any offset entered will then be added to the elevation. This is useful when plotting an elevation scale up the side of the section. |
Offset |
Enter the value, based on the contents of the Pos column, where the data must be extracted. e.g. If Pos = PLC then enter a PLC code here. |
Pos |
Right-click on this column to select the correct position indicator.
|
X-Origin and Y-Origin |
Enter the position at which the annotation text should be plotted. There are some predefined variables that can be entered here. Right-click the cell to select a variable from a popup menu. An explanation of the available variables is shown below. |
Height |
Enter the height of the text in mm. |
Angle |
Enter the angle at which the text should be drawn in degrees. |
Pen |
Select the pen in which the text should be drawn. Right-click the cell to display the pen selection. |
Alignment |
Select the alignment of the text. |
Text Style |
Select the text style in which the text should be drawn. |
Variable
|
Description |
{OFFS.x} |
The offset at the specified cross-section position. |
{ELEV.x} |
The elevation at the specified cross-section position. |
The .x in the above variables can be substituted with a value that specifies the number of decimals to be displayed. For example, if the offset was 3.5 and the text item was specified as {OFFS.3}, the text drawn would be 3.500.
Variable
|
Description |
{L} |
The left edge of the section. |
{R} |
The right edge of the section. |
{T} |
The top of the section. |
{B} |
The bottom of the section. |
{O} |
The origin of the section. |
{E} |
The elevation at the specified offset. |
