These functions produce data from the fully formed terrain model. For example, terrace banks can be calculated between two surfaces, cross and long sections can be extracted, and volumes can be calculated.

All these routines presuppose that a polygon network of break and feature lines has been generated, which completely describes the surface(s) to process.

Errors in the polygon network generate errors in the calculations, so take time to ensure that the polygon model is correct.
