Description |
Mean Annual Precipitation |
The annual rainfall in millimetres. |
Return Period |
The return period, or statistical frequency, of the storm event. |
Storm Duration |
The time elapsed from the start to finish of the storm event in minutes. |
Time Step |
The time increment, in minutes, used in the analysis of the storm and runoff model. |
Ratio of Peak to Duration |
The ratio of the time to the peak intensity vs. the storm duration. This value determines the placement of the storm peak relative to it's duration. |
Region |
The region where the storm event takes place. There are two options:
|
IDF Parameters |
The IDF parameters determine the total depth of rainfall. The values are calculated. |
Reset button |
Click to change the IDF coefficients back to the ones proposed by Watson (1981) for the Chicago storm simulation in Southern Africa. |
IDF Curve button |
Click to generate an intensity-duration-frequency curve. |
Export button |
Click to export the design storm intensity array to a SWMM Rainfall File, which can be imported in the SWMM Rain Gauge Editor. The Export SWMM Rainfall File options will be displayed. |
Print button |
Click to print the current window. |
Specify the parameters of the user defined storm. This will set up a blank array for you to input intensity values.
