You can use the components when defining your templates, but templates do not have to be made up out of components at all.
The benefit of components is that you can set them up to also calculate quantities including layerwork quantities.
To add a sidewalk component to the left compulsory area, select the Left Compulsory radio button.
Now click on the Library tab of the components and scroll to the Sidewalks component group. Select the 2m sidewalk component.
To add the sidewalk component to the template, simply click on the component name and drag it onto the template.
The sidewalk component is added on at the indicated point.
Insert additional components as required.
Save and close the template.
