Conventions

Various formatting conventions have been used throughout this help file to make certain items more recognisable.

Notes, which are designed to show important information, are displayed in a grey highlight box.

 

Button

Buttons are displayed in bold. For example, "Click OK to close the window."

Option

Options are displayed in italics. For example, "Select the Print to fit option."

Menu Path

Menu paths are displayed in bold. For example, File ► Load ► Load Layers. Consecutive menu selections are separated with the character. For example, File ► Load ► Load Layers means select File from the main menu, then select Load from the menu that is displayed, then select Load Layers from the subsequent menu.

File Path

File paths are displayed in italics. For example, C:\Users\Public\Documents\Knowledge Base Software.

Keyboard Key

Keyboard keys, also known as shortcut keys or hot keys, are enclosed in square brackets. For example:

  • [K] means press the "K" key.

  • [K]+[A] means press the "K" key followed by the "A" key.

  • [Shift+G] means press the "Shift" key and hold it while you press the "G" key.
