Select a pen from the current palette, or to select a solid colour.

Description |

Standard pens |
The standard pens are arranged at the top of the window. Each button displays the number and colour associated with that pen. Click on a button to select it. |

Full palette |
The rest of the colours in the current palette are displayed in the grid in the centre of the window. Click on one of the buttons to select it. |

Click to set the pen colour to By Layer. Entities drawn with the By Layer pen display in the colour of the layer that the entity is on. The assigned layer colours can be changed using the Layer Settings function. |

By Block button |
Click to set the pen colour to By Block. Entities drawn with the By Block pen display in the colour of the Block Insert which references the block. If the entity is not part of a block, it will be drawn using pen 7. |

More colours button |
Click to select a solid colour, i.e. 24-bit RGB non-palette colour, from the standard Windows Colour options. |

Colour swatch |
The swatch at the bottom left of the window displays the colour of the current pen, as well as the colour of the current selection. Just below the swatch is the actual pen number, as well as the RGB description of the selected colour. |
