This function allows you to draw a predefined shaft, or specify and create a new shaft definition.
The Mechanical Setup option defines the default line styles and pens to use.
Make sure that the drawing units are set to "mm" (millimetres) before using the mechanical toolkit functions.
Procedure
You can select a shaft from the drop-down list, or fill in the relevant data and create a new shaft.
You can add your own shaft definition by clicking Add and then entering the relevant data. The shaft definition is saved when you click OK, or select another shaft definition from the list.
Make the changes to the dimensions of the sections of the shaft in the table.
Select the line type (solid or hidden) to use.
Select OK to draw the specified shaft.
Enter centre left point on Shaft (Spacebar to Stop)
Indicate a point on the centre of the left end of the shaft.
Enter a point on the Shaft centreline (Spacebar to Stop)
