Named Viewports

Edit or use named viewports in the drawing.

This function allows you to add, edit and delete named viewports. The first nine views in the viewport list are assigned zoom hot-keys from 1-9.

Once a viewport has been removed, it is permanently deleted from the drawing structure. You cannot Undo the function. Instead, you need to redefine it.

Procedure

The Named Viewports display.

Add a Named Viewport

To add a new named viewport, click Add (see Define Named Viewports for the method).

Edit a Named Viewport

To edit (redefine) the named viewport:

  1. Select the named viewport to be edited .

  2. Click Edit Selected.

  3. You are prompted to:

Indicate first corner of viewport rectangle

  1. Click in the required position.

  2. You are prompted to:

Indicate second corner of viewport rectangle

  1. Drag the box around the area to become the viewport, and then click to define the viewport.

Remove a Named Viewport

To remove a named viewport from the list:

  1. Select the named viewport to be deleted and click Remove.

  2. Confirm if you want to delete the named view. Click Yes to delete the named view, or No to return to the Named Viewports window without deleting it.

Show a Named Viewport

To view a named viewport:

  1. Select the viewport you would like to view and click Show.  

  1. The named viewport displays in the drawing area.

Set To Current

Click Set To Current to change the viewport to the current view.
