Notes
Notes, which are designed to show important information, are displayed
in a grey highlight box.
Buttons
Buttons are displayed in bold. For example, "Click OK to close the window."
Options
Options are displayed in italics. For example, "Select the Print to fit option."
Prompts
Prompts, as they appear on screen, are displayed in a yellow highlight box.
Menu Paths
Menu paths are displayed in bold. For example, File ► Load ► Load Layers. Consecutive menu selections are separated with the ► character. For example, File ► Load ► Load Layers means select File from the main menu, then select Load from the menu that is displayed, then select Load Layers from the subsequent menu.
File Paths
File paths are displayed in italics. For example, C:\Users\Public\Documents\Knowledge Base Software.
Keyboard Keys
Keyboard keys, also known as shortcut keys or hot keys, are enclosed in square brackets. For example:
[K] means press the "K" key.
[K]+[A] means press the "K" key followed by the "A" key.
[Shift+G] means press the "Shift" key and hold it while you press the "G" key.
