Resection

Fix an unknown point by means of un-oriented directions to three known points.

This function allows you to fix an unknown point by means of un-oriented directions from the unknown point to three known points.

The three known points must be indicated by clicking on them. The direction from the unknown point to each of them also has to be entered.

Directions must be used and NOT the subtended angles.

Procedure

1. You are prompted to:

Resection: Snap on start point

2. Click on an existing terrain point.

3. You are prompted to:

Resection: Snap on next point

4. Click on another existing terrain point.

5. You are prompted to:

Resection: Snap on last point

6. Click on a third existing terrain point.

7. The Resection calculation settings display.

8. Fill in the relevant data and click OK.

9. The Point Details displays.

10. Fill in the relevant data and click OK.

11. The function continues in a cycle prompting for a start point.
