Mid Point

Calculate a point midway between two points.

This function allows you to calculate a point that falls in the middle of a straight line joining two points indicated with a mouse.

After the points are defined, the mid-point is calculated and its coordinates are displayed on the screen. You have the option of adding the point to the database or cancelling the operation.

Procedure

1. You are prompted to:

 Midpoint: Snap on start point

2. Click on a terrain point.

3. You are prompted to:

 Midpoint: Snap on end point

4. Click on a second terrain point.

5. The Point Details display with the Y, X and interpolated Z values.

6. Fill in the relevant data and click OK.

7. The function continues in a cycle prompting for a start point.
