The pump curve specifies the relationship of flow through a pump link to the depth or volume at the upstream node, or to the head delivered by the pump.

Pumps are links used to lift water to higher elevations. A pump curve describes the relation between a pump's flow rate and conditions at its inlet and outlet nodes. Four different types of pump curves are supported.

The on/off status of pumps can be controlled dynamically through user-defined Control Rules. Rules can also be used to simulate variable speed drives that modulate pump flow.

Description

Pump Curve Selector

Select the pump curve to edit.

Add Curve

Click to add a new pump curve to the project.

Delete Curve

Click to delete a pump curve from the project.

Pump Curve Name

User-assigned pump curve name.

Pump Curve Type

Select the pump curve type.

Description

An optional comment or description of the pump curve.

Array

  • Type1 : Table of volume versus flow.

  • Type2 : Table of depth versus flow.

  • Type3 : Table of head versus flow.

  • Type4 : Table of depth versus flow.

Graph

View a graphical plot of the data in the array page.

Load

Click to load in a curve that was previously saved to file.

Save

Click to save the current curve's data to a file.

Print

Click to print the current window.

OK Button

Click to accept the current entries.

Cancel Button

Click to cancel the function.
