Ratio Snap

This Snap Mode snaps to a point a certain fraction of the total distance along the entity, or piece of the entity for polylines, from start to end point.

This snap mode can be used to divide an entity into pieces of equal lengths but it is easier to do this using the Divide Equally Geometry function.

2. Enter the ratio value between 0 and 1 and then click Enter.  

3. Click near the entity.

This snap does not work on full ellipses and circles as there is no meaning for start/end point.

A ratio snap of x is equivalent to a ratio snap of 1-x.
