Surface Finish

Draw a surface finish annotation.

This function allows you to draw a predefined surface finish annotation, or specify and create a new surface finish annotation style.

Make sure that the drawing units are set to "mm" (millimetres) before using the mechanical toolkit functions.

Procedure

1. The Surface Finish options display.

2. Select a predefined surface finish annotation from the drop-down list, or fill in the relevant data.

3. Click OK to draw the specified annotation.

4. You are prompted to:

Indicate the position of the Surface Finish annotation.

5. Position the cursor where the surface finish annotation must be drawn, and then click.

6. The surface finish annotation is added to the drawing in the current pen.

Adding  Surface Finish Annotation Styles

To add your own surface finish annotation styles:

1. Click Add and then enter the relevant data.

2. The style is saved when you click OK, or when you select another surface finish annotation style from the list.

Deleting Surface Finish Annotation Styles

To remove a surface finish annotation style, select it in the list and click Remove.

If you modify an existing surface finish annotation style you are asked to save it. Click No to avoid changing the original style, or Yes to overwrite it.
