Total Line Length

Add the lengths of lines in a layer.

This function totals the lengths of all the lines in a specified layer. This is extremely useful to determine the total length of say, an electrical cable or sewer pipe.

Procedure

1. You are prompted to:

Select layer for calculation of total line length!

2. A list of existing layers displays.

3. Select the layer where the total line length must be extracted from, and then click OK.

4. You are asked:

5. Click Yes for a detailed listing.

Click No for a summary.
