Stairs

Generate a stair plan and elevation.

This function allows you to draw stairs according to the Stairs Layout settings.

Procedure

Before you run this function you should set up the Staircase parameters in the Architectural Design Setup.

1. Set up the stair parameters in the design setup as shown above.

2. Set up the stairs layout configuration.

3. Now run the function. Consider the simple plan above as an example.

4. Select the Stairs toolbar or the Draw Stairs menu item. The following options display as a summary of your chosen design fields.

Plan View

1. You are prompted to:

Indicate the top of the staircase plan (else spacebar to exit)

2. Indicate the position of the top of the stairs.

3. The plan layout is drawn.

Elevation

1. You are prompted to:

Indicate the top of the staircase right side view (else spacebar to exit)

2. Indicate the position of the top of the stairs.

3. The chosen elevation is drawn. Depending on which elevation it is to be used for, you might have to rotate it.
