Block Plan

Trace the outside figure and generate a block plan.

This function allows you to trace the outside figure of a section and generate the block plan with an optional table of sides and distances.

Procedure

1. You are asked:

Click Yes if you want to specify or change the corner point labels; or click No to use the standard range of label names from A-Z.

2. You are prompted to:

Indicate first corner of outside figure

3. The snap mode changes to point snap. Click on a corner of the outside figure.

4. If you opted to be prompted for the corner point labels, you are prompted to:

5. Enter a suitable corner point label and press [Enter].

6. You are prompted to:

Indicate next corner of outside figure (Re-indicate start to end)

7. Indicate each of the corner points in sequence, until you get back to the first point.

8. After you have clicked on the first corner point a second time, the program displays the Sectional Plan Text options for the block plan.

9. Make the necessary changes and click OK to proceed.

10. You are asked:

Click Yes for a table listing sides and directions.

Click No to not include a table in the block plan.

Table Listing

If you click Yes:

1. You are prompted to:

Position top left corner of table

2. Click where the top left corner of the table should be placed.

3. You are prompted to add notes (if any).

4. Enter notes and click OK to proceed.

5. You are prompted to position the traced figure in the block plan:

6. Click where the centre of the figure must be placed. The block plan is drawn.
