Create a parts list table.

This function allows you to create a parts list table from existing text entities in the drawing, with the option to add on and fill in extra column data.

The table is created in the current Table Style.

Procedure

  1. The empty parts list displays.

  1. Click Add Column to add extra columns for additional data. This must be done before adding parts.

  2. Once the table has been set up to your requirements, click Add Parts.

  3. You are prompted to:

Click on a part label to add (spacebar to finish)

  1. Click on an existing text item that defines a part name, e.g. "P1" in the drawing below.

  2. You are prompted to:

  1. Type in a suitable description.

  1. If you had defined any additional columns, say a column called "Material", you are asked to enter a value for the Material column.

  1. You are prompted for values for every column in the parts table.

  2. You then need to indicate a part label again.

  3. Add all the parts and then right-click and select the Quit option to finish. The parts table displays.

  1. Make any changes that are required, and then click OK.

  2. You are prompted to save the parts list to a text file.

  1. Click Yes to save the parts list as a text file.

  2. You are prompted to indicate the position of the parts table.

  1. Click in a suitable position and the parts table is added to the drawing.

  1. You can edit a parts table by selecting the table, right-clicking and selecting the Edit Table option from the popup menu.
